Northern Core Teardrop Tree Pendant

SKU: 13871

 Made in Northern Ontario

These one of a kind pendants are created from Canadian Shield prospector rock samples some 80 years old. The Canadian Shield is a large area of exposed Precambrian rock that stretches from the Great Lakes of Ontario to the Arctic Ocean. For many decades, prospectors have mined this mineral rich area, taking core samples to determine the mineral ore make-up of the rock. It is from these prospector coring samples that this beautiful jewellery is made. The mineral diversity in the area creates the unique colour variations in the stone which is thinly sliced and then enhanced by the artist who takes inspiration from the natural stone design. Encircled with sterling silver, these pieces are completely unique and 4 billion years in the making!

Every teardrop pendant is adorned with trees by the artist to accentuate the beauty of the piece. The pendants are encircled with sterling silver and come on an 18" silver plated chain.

Please note that every pendant is individually handcrafted by the artist and is not exactly as shown.
