Bill Helin was raised in the Northwest Coastal community of Prince Rupert, BC. Largely self-taught, Helin has spent most of his career carving traditional Tsimshian wood carvings, jewellery designs, painting, and crafting drums. He is devoted to representing the myths and history of the Tsimshian nation through his art.
