This piece features a map of Whistler overlaid with acrylic paints on a birch wood frame.

Artist Alan Dhingra immigrated to Canada with his family in 1966, and he graduated from Ontario College of Art (OCAD) in 1984. Alan's love of the natural world, his enjoyment of canoeing and camping, and his affinity for the topographic maps used during his trips to the wilderness have inspired his works. Alan combines pattern, texture and colour while exploring the relationship between positive and negative space.
