  Made in Newfoundland

All of our amazing Newfoundland wild berry products are made on the Great Northern Peninsula in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. They are created using unique wild berries. These berries, picked by hand, are carefully processed without additives resulting in a quality product that is both distinctive and delicious.

Partridgeberry (Vaccinium vitis-idaea). Internationally known as the lingonberry this relative of the cranberry family is a low mat forming evergreen shrub with tiny rounded leaves. These berries grow in the dry, acidic soils of Newfoundland and Labrador's barrens and coastal headlands. Their flowers have a pinkish hue in bud then turn white as they bloom in mid-June to mid-July. The flower ovaries gives rise to a single dark red berry ripening through September's frost. Tart in flavour they are high in vitamin C, tannin, anthocyanin, and antioxidants.

Jam and spread

We travelled to Nova Scotia 2 summers ago thoroughly enjoyed our trip. We had the chance to try some of the jams and spreads along with the rest of the foods available. Thanks for the great jams and spreads etc.

Delicious

Having just made cranberry sauce for Thanksgiving, I could compare with the sweet partridgeberry jam. To me, the flavor is almost like it has raspberry and very mild cranberry. I love it.

I just read a book about people from that area (Tallingate), and had to try the jam. I'm so happy to have found it.

Wonderful!

We don't have Partridgeberries where I live in USA and we watch Bonita's Kitchen on You-tube Sundays; one time she made Partridgeberry Meringue Dessert and my husband said, "Make that for me." Found the jam on your website and bought 2 jars; made the dessert yesterday and we both love it! Thank you, Made in Canada, for selling it.

The jam is fantastic. It's a little sweeter than some Partridgeberry jams I've had, but that's not a bad thing. Unfortunately the lid of one of them came loose in shipping.
