Sarah’s several hundred-square-foot exterior murals can be found across the Northwest Territories on airport hangars and elementary schools, and she has often led urban beautification initiatives in the cities and towns in which she has lived. She often encourages others to experience joy and appreciation in their own painting abilities through teaching art to youth, leading community art initiatives and hosting paint night events.

Though my passion for art took a back seat during my years devoted to sports and health science studies, it was reignited when I moved to a remote community in the Northwest Territories. Surrounded by the rugged landscape and untouched beauty of the North, I reconnected with my love of sketching and creating. Today, I continue to draw inspiration from my environment, grateful for the opportunity to live in the moment and share my creativity with others.
