Top 3 activities to do during Winterlude

During the first three weeks of February every year, the capital turns into a beautiful winter wonderland jam-packed with countless activities for you and your family to do. Most activities are free and take place in urban Ottawa-Gatineau. With all the activities going on, it is hard to decide what you might want to do! However, there are a few must-tries.

Skating

Although the Rideau Canal Skateway is currently closed, there are still plenty of rinks in Ottawa for you to skate on! The Rink of Dreams and Lansdowne Skating Park are two great locations with beautiful lights and beavertails at both locations (Canada's favourite pastries). If you don’t have skates don’t worry! There are skates available to be rented at both rinks.

Ice Carving

It's not the typical art you’d see but it is just as beautiful and incredibly impressive. There are plenty of Ice-Carving showcases from February 4 to the 18th. There are even chances to meet the artists of these beautiful carvings! Check out the Winterlude website for full schedule details.

Giant Foosball

A great activity for the entire family to participate in! Human-sized foosball is exciting and will bring great memories for your family for years to come. It is a free activity and runs every Saturday and Sunday of Winterlude from 11 am to 5pm.

Check out the Winterlude website for a detailed schedule of all the great activities going on this month. Feel free to stop by and check out one of our locations if you're nearby!
